外交部回应新任美国驻华大使抵京履职：中方愿提供便利，望美方与中方相向而行。

在5月15日的外交部记者会上，有外媒记者就新任美国驻华大使庞德伟抵京履职提问。

At the regular press conference of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 15, a foreign reporter asked about the arrival and assumption of duties in Beijing of the new US Ambassador to China David Perdue.

对此，外交部发言人林剑表示，我们愿为庞德伟大使来华履职提供便利。中方对中美关系的立场一以贯之，我们始终坚持相互尊重、和平共处、合作共赢的原则来看待和处理中美关系，也希望美方和中方相向而行。

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that China is willing to facilitate Ambassador Perdue in carrying out his duties. China’s position on China-US relations remains consistent, we view and handle the relationship based on the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, and we hope the US side will meet the Chinese side halfway, he noted.
